The Wedding of Yasmin and Matthew

1 year, 2 months and 10 days ago I married my my wonderful husband Matthew.

I cannot believe I have let all this time fly by without sharing with you, our beautiful readers, the special highlights of our amazing day.

As you may already know, whilst I am a co-writer for The Wedding Gurus, I also own a event hire and planning company. Ok so I can all hear you thinking I would have been cool calm and collected when it came to decorating my own day, this certainly wasnt the truth. I must have changed my mind on what I wanted 100 times over. Looking back now, whilst I have no regrets and wouldnt change a thing, I still have moments where I wish I had done something differently. With the ever changing wedding industry and the constant inspiration we are all exposed to from social media (pinterest anyone), wedding trends are forever changing and evolving and you are always left thinking, oh I wish I had known this when I got married! My advice... before you get all tied up in the finer details (which seem like the be all or end all of the world at the time) remember why you are planning your special day the most important things that make up a wedding, if nothing else, is the bride and groom and the love they share, your celebrant who you need to make things official and all your beautiful family and friends to share the memory with - all other elements are a bonus.

With that said, I bring to you our glorious day filled with the happiest memories of my life!

For the bridesmaids dresses, I was inspired by Miley Cyrus 2010 Oscar Red Carpet Dress

  1. I can actually attest to the fact that the food was delicious because, unlike other hosts who I hear never get to eat a bite, there was a staff member by my side at banquet halls in Miami every so often kindly reminding me to eat! We received the best possible service here.
